There was a great turnout at this year's Railroad Day's Snoqualmie Plein Air Paint Out and I really enjoyed participating again at this fun annual event! I found a nice spot by the river down in Sandy Cove Park and noticed a few other artists perched on the edge of the riverbank between two large trees. This looked like a great composition full of contrast, highlights, and shadows. I always enjoy painting outdoors in the fresh air for a couple hours, one of life's many joys!
It was great to see all the other artists' works, particularly from the artist I painted in my own work, there was a lot of talent on display. I came away with third place this year, already looking forward to next year! A big thank you to the Snoqualmie Arts Commission for hosting this wonderful event.
