Calliope Hummingbirds

As a continuation of my Northwest birds endeavor, I have now finished a couple portraits of some resident hummingbirds!  These two are female calliope hummingbirds and frequent visitors to my feeder in the summer. Though they don't have the striking fuchsia neck markings of the males, they have their own subtle beauty with gorgeous iridescent green backs and shimmering champagne coloring on their sides.
